Hi,
I got a new laptop and installed the Blackvue Downloader app through the Windows Store.
After adding the dashcam settings, IP, directories, etc the app connects successfully to the dashcam and downloads the videos as it should.
All works fine so far however when either exiting the app or rebooting the laptop, the dashcam settings seems to be lost so I have to add a new dashcam again with its IP etc. every time I open the app.
Looking at the logs, I could see the user settings should have been saved here but the file is empty (0Kb):
C:\Users\namedUser\AppData\Local\Packages\50503GizmoCoding.BlackvueDownloader_3w31nrhc98sqa\LocalState\settings.json
Am logged on Windows as an Administrator account and I also tried to untick the "Read Only" box in the C:\Users\namedUser\AppData\Local\Packages\50503GizmoCoding.BlackvueDownloader_3w31nrhc98sqa directory
Just wondering what else I could try?
Attached logs for tracking
Many Thanks,

Re: Unable to save user settings
Thanks for the log, shows a whole lot of low level issues.
Because of this I suspect it is because of Windows N version differences, possible group policy managing file settings etc.
But First:
Check whether can see Camera Live Window?
Have you the media pack installed?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=53356
This MAY be issue. Causing early on errors that doesn't recover from
Or May be Windows N app privacy settings check these in settings/App - checking that can read and write
Finally;
Can review below and see if helps
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubl ... l-to-start
Failing that would delete and reinstall.
I’ve have a closer look at code and see if anything specific jumps out - but multiple errors from beginning suggest it is a system issue.

Re: Unable to save user settings
Thanks for your reply,
am not sure what I did exactly but seems the problems fixes by itself.
I uninstalled the app then re-installed and all seems working as it should.
I suspect something was related to the directory permissions

Good to hear - certainly logging was odd!bcmosca wrote:Thanks for your reply,
