I will attempt the camera firmware update tonight and report back.Glenn wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 8:21 amThanks.H.256 wrote:I know it worked at one point. I will update the camera's firmware and see if that fixes it.
In looking at the GPS files, some of them are 0 bytes in size, will that cause an issue? There are other gps files that have data in them.
The DRX900 models changed firmware reporting - it’s possible the the Plus model didn’t.
The 0 byte files are expected - essentially just copies everything of camera - these exist when no new GPS data (no signal in garage etc.)
Update the firmware- hopefully that will bring in to line with the other DRX cameras.
If not email a bunch of zipped GPS files and will see what is up.

Re: GPS Auto Process Data
I updated the firmware of the camera to 1.005 and formatted the SD card. Still no speed information.
I emailed you some GPS files to review.

I presume still an issue despite firmware?

Re: GPS Auto Process Data
I suspect the issue is with the camera. I am working with Blackvue to see if we can determine why the GPS is not logging correctly.
Thank you for your quick response, I will report back what we determine.

Re: GPS Auto Process Data
Hi
Just to update here from emails.
Looking at the GPS data; there is no valid recorded GPS data being received. As you report there is no GPS light on the camera and the Blackvue app from SD-Card doesn’t show any GPS data.
All-in-all - seems like this is a Dash camera issue, and not Blackvue Downloader issue.
Good luck with Blackvue!

Re: GPS Auto Process Data
I wanted to provide an update for everyone. I worked with Glenn and isolated the issue to the dash camera's GPS logging. I contacted Blackvue customer service and after some back and forth, I was sent a shipping label to ship the camera back to Korea for repair. It took about 2 weeks, but they replaced the GPS module and now things are working as expected. Max speed works as designed.
Big thanks to Glenn for helping me isolate the issue.
